Cursed Eye Permissions
Allen's left eye lets him see trapped souls. It doesn't go off for inmates on the Barge in general, but if your character is a cursed soul trapped in life* (*or afterlife) and you'd like him to be able to see that please say here!

Character Name: Allen Walker
Series: D. Gray-man
Age: 16
Age Justification: “[Allen] is an apostle of God, but it’s still cruel to make a child fight in a war.” Allen lived a hard life, even before becoming an official exorcist at fifteen and joining a war to save the world. It’s a cruelty that he’s survived, and gained experiences that allow him to help others.
From When?: after chapter 205
Warden Justification:
Allen has gone through a lot in his life. He’s seen people become monsters. He’s experienced loss, suffering and questions about good and evil. Through it all, he continues fighting for what he believes. He’s a kind person, who balances his sorrows with his strengths. He believes in people, not because he’s blind to the terrible things the can do but because he believes that they can do better. He’ll always do his best for the people he cares about, and is good at motivating people through the strength of his own determination.

Wardening Strategies and Philosophies:
Allen was responsible for his father becoming an Akuma, and then for destroying the Akuma and setting his spirit free. At first this led him to believe he should be an Exorcist as a matter of guilt, but it became a choice to help free souls from the torment of being an Akuma. In many ways, this is the foundation to who he is, and so who he’ll be as a warden.
Due to his history, there are a lot of things that Allen understands on a personal level. He knows what it is to believe that you don’t need anyone, what it is to live consumed by guilt, the feeling that you have been chosen by fate for some duty or other. He’s gone through all these and more, and rejected them. He’s picked choosing to help over guilt or fate. He’s been told that he should accept life as someone who only destroys. He’s found great strength in building bonds with other people. He rejects the idea that there’s an either or situation when it comes to help.
Allen’s good at encouraging people. His own determination can serve as an example, but, more than that, he talks to people. He believes that going forward is the best choice, no matter what someone’s done. He argues that living is a better way of showing that you cared for someone you killed than dying with them. He thinks that someone who killed his comrades (and is a literal fallen soul), still deserves to live, and more than that, make up for his actions by having a happy life. He tries to get even one of his determined enemies to chose his ‘lighter’ side, despite the attempt on his and his friend’s lives.
He’s likely to engage with any inmate by seeing them as a person who can choose to do better and could be a good warden for people who need that push and that support..
Allen’s weaknesses as a warden can be how much he’s moved by suffering he sees in front of him, instead of looking at a bigger picture. He believes in people, and betrayal can cut deep. He doesn’t always value his own life, in the face of his dedication to his chosen path. He could push to strongly for some people. He’s young and can get caught up in his emotions, even if he can push through his loneliness and desire for peace.
He might also be a bad fit for an inmate who’s good at emotional manipulation and digging into certain vulnerabilities.
His youth and what can look like naïveté could go either way. As could the existence of a ‘darker’ side underneath his usual unassuming kindness.
As for the Barge at large, he’s unlikely to be phased by any of the floods or other strange occurrences, as he’s used to living in with that sort of thing. He would likely try to work with other wardens, though he has strong limits on how much he’s willing to go along with.

Special Notes: He's implanted with the presence of/possibly the reincarnation of Nea D. Campbell who might want to destroy the world and definitely hates humans and wants to kill them. Allen's currently in control but does occasionally struggle to keep hold.
